Refurbished Consoles

Yes. A refurbished game console is a professionally tested, fully functional device sold at a lower price than new. Every console sold through RefurbLane has been inspected by a vetted seller and comes with a 1-year seller warranty and a 30-day return window. For most buyers, refurbished is a practical way to spend less without giving up performance.

A used console has been resold with no guarantee of quality checks. A refurbished console has been professionally inspected, repaired if needed, and tested before resale. On RefurbLane, condition grades (Fair, Good, Excellent) tell you the cosmetic state of each console so you know exactly what you're getting before you commit. Read more about what refurbished means.

Among current-gen options, the Xbox Series S is one of the most affordable, with a digital-only format and Game Pass compatibility. Refurbished previous-generation consoles, like the PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch Lite, cost less while still offering thousands of available titles. The exact price depends on condition grade, storage size, and current seller listings on RefurbLane.

RefurbLane is a marketplace built specifically for refurbished tech, which means sellers are vetted, condition grades are standardized, and every console comes with a 1-year seller warranty and 30-day returns. You also get a choice of condition grades across multiple sellers, so you can match the level of cosmetic wear to your budget. And because refurbished tech extends the life of existing hardware, buying refurbished is one of the more straightforward ways to reduce your environmental footprint. Since 2014, RefurbLane has contributed to avoiding 2.2 million tonnes of CO2e emissions globally.
