The IPad looks brand new no scratches at all. It’s working well & set up was no problem. It came with new charging accessories as well. I wasn’t happy with the shipping because I paid extra to expedite it but it came as standard shipping. Other than that it I’m completely happy with this purchase. RefurbLane is my go to for refurbished tech & this my third purchase.

Got this iPad mini (6th gen) with cellular for work for $258 in “Fair” condition. Pleasantly surprised it got here today with a few minor scratches on the sides of the screen that aren’t noticeable unless you’re looking for them and everything seems to be working well. Easily could’ve spent 500+ if it was new so no complaints here.

In the beginning i had my doubts about this and even when it arrived the box felt quite light but in the end everything was amazing and i actually love my ipad ❗️ it is great and comes in so much bubble wrap. Also had literally no scratches whatsoever, honestly would’ve thought it was brand new if i hadn’t bought it

The whole experience was great; the item was lovingly packed, maybe too well packed ;) I wish that there was a way to save our favorite sellers, maybe have their products highlighted during the selection process.

Not too happy with how I received my iPad mini. The device came with fingerprints on the screen and sticker residue on the back, along with noticeable scratches on the Apple logo. Other than that the device charges and seems to work fine. Glad I was able to clean it up because gaming on it seems to work great!

Great experience overall. The iPad mini arrived in pristine condition, and transferring my data and setting it up was easy. Once the initial setup and updates finished, I was able to fully customize the device and log into all of my apps. It did take about 48 hours for all the background updates to finalize, which temporarily limited photo synchronization—though I suspect that was user error on my part! Once everything resolved itself, it worked like a charm and efficiently offloaded some apps. I love that I was able to adjust the display text size for easier reading, add Find My, and snap it into a case that fits perfectly. It does get a little warm while fast-charging, but my iPhone does that too, so it's totally normal. A lightning cord was provided in the box as well. A great buy overall!

Refurbished iPad Mini questions answered

Yes. Every refurbished iPad Mini on RefurbLane is professionally inspected before it's listed for sale. Testing covers performance, battery health, screen quality, and hardware functionality — not just cosmetic condition. Each device is then graded: Good (signs of use, fully functional), Excellent (light wear), or Premium (closest to new). Every purchase includes a 1-year commercial warranty and a 30-day return window.
Prices depend on the generation and condition grade. A refurbished iPad Mini 5 (2019) starts from $148. The iPad Mini 6 (2021) typically starts from $285 in Good condition, compared to its original $799.99 retail price. The iPad Mini 7 (2024) starts from $399.99, compared to $650 new from Apple. A Good grade device costs less but may show visible wear; Excellent and Premium devices are in better cosmetic shape.
A used iPad Mini is simply one bought from a previous owner, with no quality process attached. A refurbished iPad Mini on RefurbLane is different: every device has been professionally inspected, reset to factory settings, and graded by certified technicians before it can be listed. Nothing goes on sale without passing that inspection first. "Refurbished" at RefurbLane means tested and accountable. "Used" just means previously owned.
Yes. Every refurbished iPad Mini purchased on RefurbLane includes a 1-year commercial warranty covering device defects. This is a commercial warranty provided by RefurbLane, separate from any legal warranty you may be entitled to under consumer protection law. The warranty covers hardware defects, not accidental damage. You also get a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. If something goes wrong, RefurbLane's customer service team handles it directly.
For most buyers in 2026, the iPad Mini 6 (2021) is the best-value refurbished iPad Mini. It introduced USB-C, an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, and the A15 Bionic chip: all still relevant specs, at a price significantly lower than the Mini 7. If budget isn't a constraint and you want the latest A17 Pro chip, the iPad Mini 7 (2024) is the upgrade worth considering. For the lowest possible entry price on basic tasks like reading, browsing, and video, the iPad Mini 5 remains a solid option.

Why buy a refurbished iPad Mini?

A refurbished iPad Mini on RefurbLane isn't just cleaned up and repackaged. Every device is professionally inspected by certified technicians who test performance, battery health, screen quality, and hardware functionality before it goes on sale. Based on the results, each device is assigned a condition grade: Good (shows signs of use but works perfectly), Excellent (light wear, great overall condition), or Premium (closest to new). Every seller on RefurbLane goes through a strict vetting process before they can list devices. That combination of rigorous testing and seller accountability is what makes buying a refurbished iPad Mini here different from picking up a random used one online.

How much does a refurbished iPad Mini cost?

A refurbished iPad Mini on RefurbLane starts from $148 for the iPad Mini 5 (2019), making it the most budget-friendly entry point. The iPad Mini 6 (2021) starts from $285 in Good condition, a significant drop from its original $499 retail price. If you want the latest generation, a refurbished iPad Mini 7 (2024) starts from $400, compared to $499 new from Apple.

The final price also depends on condition grade: a Good device costs less but may show visible signs of use, while an Excellent or Premium device arrives in better cosmetic shape. Use the filters above to browse by model, grade, and budget.

Which refurbished iPad Mini model should you choose?

Not all iPad Minis are equal. The right generation depends on how you plan to use it and what you're comfortable spending.

iPad Mini 7 (2024): latest generation

The iPad Mini 7 runs on Apple's A17 Pro chip, the same processor found in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup. The 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display carries over from the Mini 6, but processing speed and camera quality take a meaningful step forward. If you want current specs and plan to hold onto the device for several years, the Mini 7 is the one to choose. Expect to pay more than for the Mini 6 on RefurbLane.

iPad Mini 6 (2021): best value pick

The iPad Mini 6 was a genuine step change for the Mini line, bringing USB-C, a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display (up from the old 7.9-inch LCD), and the A15 Bionic chip. Its refurbished price is significantly lower than the Mini 7, making it the best balance of modern specs and value. Both Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + Cellular variants are available on RefurbLane. For students, commuters, and everyday users who want a capable compact tablet without the premium price tag, this is the sweet spot.

iPad Mini 5 (2019): most affordable option

The iPad Mini 5 is older, but that doesn't make it redundant. The A12 Bionic chip handles reading, video, messaging, and light browsing without any issues. It's the right choice if price is your main priority, or if you're buying a secondary device or something for a child. It offers the lowest entry price of any iPad Mini generation currently available on RefurbLane.

Refurbished iPad Mini vs. new: is it worth it?

Buying refurbished typically saves you 30 to 70% off the original retail price, depending on the model and condition grade. That's a real saving, not a marginal difference.

There's also an environmental side worth knowing. Choosing a refurbished tablet over a new one avoids an estimated 88% of the greenhouse gas emissions generated during new device manufacturing. One purchase, measurably less impact.

The "refurbished" label on RefurbLane doesn't mean second-rate. It means tested, graded, and certified by professionals, with every device meeting the standard for its condition grade before it ships. If you're open to a bigger screen or more processing power, our refurbished iPad page is worth a look too.
