recently purchased an iPhone 14 from RefurbLane, and I’m honestly really impressed with the experience. I was a bit skeptical about buying a refurbished phone at first, but it exceeded my expectations. The phone arrived quickly and was in excellent condition—honestly, it looked almost brand new. There were little to no visible scratches, and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. The battery life has been solid, and performance is just as smooth and fast as you’d expect from an iPhone 14. What I appreciated most was the value for money. I was able to get a high-quality device at a much lower price than buying brand new, which made it totally worth it. The setup process was easy, and I haven’t had any issues with connectivity, camera quality, or apps. Overall, I’d definitely recommend buying from RefurbLane if you’re looking to save money without sacrificing quality. This was a great purchase, and I’d do it again.

I love my new iPhone 15 Pro Max and am amazed with the quality- it arrived in perfect condition. Looks like a brand new phone with no scratches or damage and has a battery health of 84%. I was initially looking for refurbished phones on Apple’s certified refurbished site and they have this same model (1TB storage) listed for around $1300 after taxes. Save your money and go with RefurbLane!

As it was put as “good” condition, it looked almost flawless. There was almost no scratches whatsoever and a good 99% of battery was on. Such a good refurbished phone, will be interested to buy another!

My original phone fell, resulting in damage to the screen and internal antenna. Decided to buy this iPhone 7 until the new 18 comes out in September. Out of the box, even for a Fair phone, it almost flawless unless you examined it really close up. They also included a USB-C to lightning cable. Battery life was also 100% and lasts me way more than a day. Even though it's an older phone, I'd say it was worth the money as a good back up.

Absolutely amazing, I was very skeptical about buying from this website. I DO NOT regret it. Phone came with 87% battery life (very very good) especially for a refurbished phone. I will be buying another iPhone from them! Also real quick, when I opened the package and inspected the phone, it was in really good condition. No scratches or dents. Looked brand NEW! Thank you so much for the pristine iPhone 15 plus !!!!!!

I was initially hesitant about buying a refurbished iPhone 16 Pro (512GB), after seeing mixed reviews online, then i figured buying a new one might be better. However, I decided to go with RefurbLane’s 'Premium' tier, and honestly I am blown away! The phone arrived in literal 'like-new' condition, zero battery cycles and 100% battery health!! Thank you RefurbLane for the honest service and for exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend RefurbLane if you're looking for quality without the brand-new price tag

The iPhone SE (2022) delivery was fast, it is in great shape. The battery has a maximum capacity of 100%. As I am only using the SE as an iPod, setup was easy. I used the SE all day at work and only used 50% of capacity. I have loaded my music onto the SE and organized the music using iTunes. I am very pleased with my purchase.

So happy to have a 13 mini back. Same GB’s and even same color as I’d had before. It was a mistake to try the iPhone 17; too big and too heavy. Researched reliable refurbished iPhones, and RefurbLane came up as one. As recommended, I also checked out the individual vendor’s reviews; good as well, with years of experience. Ordering was easy; arrived on date stated, and the battery at 92%, with (I think) an Apple battery, because I didn’t get the warning about a non-Apple part (they stated may happen with non-Apple battery) upon turning it on. Battery lasts about 4.5 hours, way less than the 17 which lasts all day. However, I recalled that pretty much is standard with the 13 mini. It simply does not have the battery power of the bigger phones. I expected it to get a bit warm while transferring my data from the 17, yet it never got hot. My phone plan immediately recognized the 13 mini without me having to do anything on their site. I’ve had it about 2 weeks now; and so far, so good.

Unlocked iPhones questions answered

Unlocked iPhones on RefurbLane start at well under $100 for older models like the iPhone 6. Exact pricing depends on the model, storage size, and condition grade: Fair, Good, Excellent, or Premium. A lower price doesn't mean lower standards: every iPhone, regardless of grade, goes through the same professional testing process. Use the price filter on this page to find the right fit for your budget.
An unlocked iPhone isn't tied to a specific carrier, so it works with any SIM card, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, prepaid plans, and international SIMs. In contrast, a carrier-locked phone only works on the network it was originally sold through. For anyone who travels, switches carriers, or just wants flexibility, an unlocked model is the smarter choice. Learn more in our guide to what does an unlocked iPhone mean.
Yes. Every iPhone listed on RefurbLane is tested and graded by professional sellers before it ships. Condition grades (Fair, Good, Excellent, and Premium) give you a clear picture of the device's cosmetic and functional state. All orders come with a 1-year warranty and a 30-day return window. That's a meaningfully different level of accountability compared to buying used from a private seller.
Yes. Unlocked iPhones sold on RefurbLane in the US are factory unlocked and compatible with all major carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and regional networks. They also work with prepaid and MVNO plans. iPhones from iPhone 14 onwards support eSIM, so no physical SIM card is needed. If you travel internationally, you can use a local SIM without any restrictions.
If your interested in a prepaid plan, find out more in our review of the best prepaid phone plans in 2026.
A used iPhone is typically sold as-is: no standardized testing, no condition guarantee, no warranty. A refurbished iPhone on RefurbLane has been inspected, tested, and graded by a professional seller, and every order includes a 1-year warranty. The "unlocked" label applies to both, but on RefurbLane, all US iPhones are factory unlocked. Browse the full range of refurbished iPhones to compare models and condition grades.

Why buy an unlocked iPhone?

An unlocked iPhone isn't tied to any specific carrier. That means you can use it with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or any prepaid or MVNO plan you prefer. Swap SIM cards when you travel internationally, without paying roaming fees. No contract, no lock-in.

If you're exploring the full range of refurbished iPhones available, unlocked models give you the most flexibility from day one.

Freedom to use any carrier

With an unlocked iPhone, switching carriers is as simple as swapping a SIM card. You're not bound to a contract or a network, so you can always move to a better deal. On iPhone 14 and later models, eSIM support makes the whole thing even smoother.

Prices that make sense

Unlocked iPhones on RefurbLane start at well under $100 for older models, and go all the way up to the latest iPhone 16 series. The price depends on the model, storage size, and condition grade you pick. Either way, you're paying a fraction of what you'd pay for a new one at an Apple Store.

Why buy a refurbished unlocked iPhone from RefurbLane?

Every refurbished iPhone sold on RefurbLane is tested and graded by professional sellers before it ships. Condition grades (Fair, Good, Excellent, and Premium) describe exactly what you're getting cosmetically and functionally. That's a very different experience from picking up a used iPhone from a private seller online.

Not sure what does an unlocked iPhone mean in practice? Our guide breaks it down in plain English before you buy.

Quality, warranty, and peace of mind

Each iPhone goes through a detailed quality check before it's listed. Every order includes a 1-year warranty and a 30-day return window, so you're covered if something isn't right. Choosing a refurbished iPhone over a new one also avoids an estimated 77 kg of CO2e emissions per device, compared to manufacturing a brand-new smartphone.
