The Motorola Moto G 5G (2024) marks another practical step in Motorola’s lineup, offering essential 5G connectivity and a user-friendly experience for everyday tasks. Released in April 2024, this device stands out as a current-generation model that covers the basics—no unnecessary bells and whistles, just straightforward smartphone performance for the here and now.

Key features:

Release Date: April 2024
Display: 6.6-inch IPS LCD, 120Hz refresh rate
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1
Camera: Dual rear cameras: 50MP main + 2MP macro
Operating System: Ships with Android 14
Connectivity: 5G compatibility for faster downloads and streaming
Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
Build: Water-repellent design with plastic frame

Who is this for?

The Motorola Moto G 5G (2024) is best for practical users who just want the essentials: strong connectivity, a large display for streaming and browsing, and a simple Android interface. It’s a good fit for students and everyday phone users who don’t need premium specs—comparable to how the Moto G series stacks up to more expensive models like Samsung’s A-series. If you want a phone that just works, without being a show-off, this is it.

Pros & Cons: Pros Cons 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling smoother. No ultra-wide camera—versatility is limited. Clean Android 14 experience with minimal bloatware. Plastic build feels less premium than glass or metal. Reliable 5G connectivity for up-to-date speeds. Not ideal for gaming or intensive apps (Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 is basic).
