The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE brings much of the essential Galaxy S experience into a more accessible form factor. While it’s set to arrive after the S24 lineup, the S24 FE builds on its lineage with reliable performance, a bright AMOLED display, and a camera setup that should satisfy casual photographers. Three generations into the S-feeling, Samsung has nailed a balance of performance and straightforward features that will remain relevant into 2025 and beyond.

Key features:

Release Date: Expected late 2024
Display: 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, FHD+ (2340 x 1080 px), up to 120Hz refresh rate
Processor: Exynos 2200 (global) / Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (some regions), 4nm process
Camera: Triple rear camera system: 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 8MP telephoto (3x optical zoom)
Operating System: Ships with Android 14 and Samsung One UI
Build Quality: Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass 5 front and back, IP68 water and dust resistance
Connectivity: 5G ready, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C

Who is this for?

The Galaxy S24 FE is designed for practical users who want solid camera performance, a vibrant display, and flagship-level features – without chasing the very latest specs. It’s a good pick for students, professionals who need a sturdy, everyday phone, or anyone coming from earlier Galaxy S models (like the S20 FE or S21 FE) seeking predictable and stable performance with a few modern perks. Compared to the Galaxy S24 or S24+, the S24 FE offers slightly fewer bells and whistles but still covers all the essentials most people need.

Pros & Cons: Pros Cons Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with smooth 120Hz refresh rate. No adaptive refresh rate (LTPO) – screen doesn’t drop to power-saving modes. Versatile triple camera setup, including optical zoom and ultra-wide. Processor is a generation old compared to S24 flagship – fine for everyday, not for power users. Solid build quality (aluminum and Gorilla Glass, IP68). No microSD card slot for storage expansion.
