I am absolutely in love with my refurbished Google Pixel 8a. I don't think I've ever been so pleased after purchasing a phone. I wanted something that had the feel and camera quality of an iPhone but I'm more of a Google android type of gal and I'm so happy I found RefurbLane.

When you are forced to change phones it is always bad timing, for me at least. I wanted something that would come exactly as was stated online & this did (i.e. actually unlocked and good condition). The transfer process was smooth & no data loss. The only thing I would add is to include the sim tool with purchase just in case. I did have one, this is just a light suggestion. Otherwise very happy with my purchase. Thank you for being an affordable alternate option for replacing phones.

This is my fourth phone from RefurbLane. I went with premium this time and it was worth it. Battery was at 95 percent of it's original capacity. The phone was flawless on the outside.

The device is in great shape and so far the battery is as well. However, it's not listed anywhere in the listing of the phone that it was purchased / activated / etc previously in another region / country. Phone arrived with everything set to Japan which makes it a pain for activation and configuration. It would be preferred if the original region of activation / purchase was listed.

Great phone! Small and handy and easy to use. The camera is very nice and it runs simple games easily. There is no visible damage on the phone.

The Google Pixel 8a joins the Pixel family while sticking to Google’s signature friendly design and straightforward software. Released in May 2024, it’s just a generation behind the latest Pixel models but keeps the Google Tensor G3 chip and updated AI features without much fussiness. For those who appreciate a clean Android experience and reliable camera performance, this pre-owned device covers the essentials—without trying to be something it’s not.

Key features:

Release Date: May 2024
Display: 6.1-inch OLED, FHD+ (1080 x 2400 px), 120Hz refresh rate
Processor: Google Tensor G3
Camera: 64MP wide main sensor, 13MP ultra-wide rear camera, 13MP front camera
Operating System: Ships with Android 14
Build: Plastic frame, Gorilla Glass 3 front, IP67 dust/water resistance
Connectivity: 5G compatible, Wi-Fi 6E support

Who is this for?

The Google Pixel 8a is ideal for Android fans who want up-to-date software and reliable performance—especially students, travelers, or anyone interested in Google’s AI features without feeling the pinch of flagship hype. While it packs the same chip as the Pixel 8, it opts for a simpler build and camera system (so pro photographers might look elsewhere). Compared to the Pixel 7a, it’s a clear step forward, but don’t expect the premium materials or triple camera system of more expensive models.

Pros & Cons: Pros Cons Vibrant OLED display with 120Hz refresh for smooth scrolling. Plastic frame doesn’t feel as premium as glass or metal phones. Clean Android experience with years of software updates. No telephoto camera (just wide and ultra-wide). Google Tensor G3 brings advanced AI features found on newer Pixels. Audio still mono—just average, not audiophile territory. IP67 water/dust resistance—finally on the A-series. No expandable storage or headphone jack (yes, still missing).
Why refurbished?

Choosing a refurbished Google Pixel 8a means more tech and less waste—not to mention a lighter carbon footprint. Every device on RefurbLane is tested by professionals and backed by our quality promise, so you know it works as well as it looks. Learn more about our quality standards.
