I have Verizon and the phone was supposedly locked to Verizon. But no, Verizon couldn’t do it; apparently the phone is locked TO A PERSON, not the carrier. This wasted more than just a few hours 😡 messing with this, borrowing someone else’s phone for multiple customer service calls to Verizon and RefurbLane, going to a physical Verizon store where they finally figured out someone probably hadn’t paid their phone bill so Verizon couldn’t do anything. Then having to wait for my $$$ refund until the vendor received the phone back via UPS during the Christmas delivery season! For RefurbLane’s part, it was good that they issue the return label and tracked it so it’s not left to the vendor. And administratively they did a good job. But if a Vendor can just get away with saying “it’s locked to Verizon” when it’s not, then my trust level dropped. All the BM customer support people were great!
